Grievance officer

If you have a complaint about something on Best Doctors and Clinics, about a listing, or about how we handle your personal data, you can write to our grievance officer. This page explains how, what to include and how quickly we respond.

Why we have a grievance officer

  • The Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, as amended with effect from 20 February 2026, require websites that host content from users to publish a grievance officer and to resolve complaints within set times.
  • The Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 require a grievance officer for complaints about personal data, including health information.
  • The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025 give you a right to have grievances about your personal data resolved, with most duties starting on 13 May 2027. We follow them now.

What happens next

We will confirm that we have your complaint, look into it and tell you what we decided and why. If we remove or change content, we will say so. If we decide not to, we will explain the reason.

If you are not satisfied with our answer to a complaint about your personal data, you will be able to complain to the Data Protection Board of India once those provisions of the DPDP Act are in force. You can also take a complaint about content to the courts, or to the Grievance Appellate Committee set up under the IT Rules where that applies.
